PIKE IN THE NEWS

The Daytona Beach Kennel Club project was awarded LEED Gold status from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The new facility is 40% more water efficient and 25% more energy efficient than the old complex. A savings of approximately 350,000 gallons of water per year is expected with the use of plants that are adaptable to dry climate and the use of ultra-low-flow faucets and urinals. Over 97% of all construction waste from the project was tagged for recycling. Pike provided general construction services for the project. The Daytona Beach Kennel Club is Pike’s second LEED Gold certified project, the first being the City of Rochester’s Water Operations Center.
