THOMAS P. RYAN COMMUNITY CENTER AND LIBRARY & AUDUBON SCHOOL #33
Preconstruction and construction management services were provided for this joint Rochester City School District and the City of Rochester project. This project replaced the current Webster Avenue Recreation Center, expanded and reconstructed Audubon School #33, and enlarged the undersized Sully Branch Library. The community center and library now provide 40,000 square foot of contiguous space to the newly renovatedm 155,000 square foot Audubon School #33.
The new community center allows for shared gymnasiums and a community meeting room space for both the school and the neighborhood. Highlights include a football field and basketball courts, along with a tennis court and three Little League baseball fields. The Library’s shelving space increased 20% for books, media and periodicals. The community center featurse a new gymnasium and provide a teen media room, art and game room, as well as community classrooms and meeting space. The school reconstruction provides improvements to enhance academic programs and increase support services.
